A very big Thank You to all of the Volunteers that put in many hours during the fair. Without you we could not have a successful fair.

If you would like to Volunteer your time of Sponsor an event please follow the links above.

To the many Sponsors that helped us fund events, material, repairs, brochures, fairbooks, pigs etc. etc etc... a big thank you also. The fair simply would not be able to continue without the sponsors and volunteers.

What's been happening at the Fairgrounds

roofing job on barnThis fall the Barn roof is being repaired by a crew of carpenters from the Waterford World's Fair. Joel McDougal, Ron Hill, Dana Hemingway and Sam Ross are removing the old roofing and replacing it with new 27ft red roofing. Had to redo some strapping and will be repairing a break in the backside before they can put on the new roofing. Much more needs to be done to the barn but it does have a sound foundation and will have a new roof.  The upstairs of the barn is all open and would make a great place for a museum someday.

The WWF Construction Crew also repaired the back end of the Dance Hall. The stage area and where the bathrooms were had been sinking over the years. They straightened it up and put new posts and footings in and replaced posts under the dance hall to level the floor. The section where the bathrooms were will now be a small kitchen which will benefit anyone wanting to rent the Dance Hall.

There is also a new (2008) bathroom with shower stalls.

Some improvements on the short and long range list are:

Painting the Barn, cattle barn needs to be straightened and some posts replaced, some land needs to be cleared and flattened, plantings, and some more volunteers, sponsors and members to help pull this off.
